    CES Tech Idea

So while at International CES in Las Vegas, we ran into SAGE, a company providing a very unique and interesting product. Enter: Home Automation. Sure, you've heard of it before, and maybe even seen it in practical everyday uses. Push a button on your smartphone and the light turns on. Simple enough, and ordinary at best.

    CES 2015

We are very excited to be heading out to the West Coast next week to attend International CES in Las Vegas, Nevada. While there, we will be seeing the latest and greatest in the technology of today, as well as a very nice glimpse of the technology of tomorrow. No, we don't anticipate seeing flying cars (yet) but some of the technology there is just amazing. Let us know if you will be there, we will stop by and say hello.

As a side note, we will be out of the office from Monday, January 5 until Tuesday, January 13 for the CES convention.

    Live Video and Photo Updates

We were on location today with Vermont Modular Homes, Inc shooting video and taking pictures of a house set they are doing. We spent the day doing live picture status updates to their Facebook page, as well as shooting video for later use. While it was bitter cold out (30 degrees + 12mph winds), we still managed to get some amazing footage and populated their news feed on Facebook quite nicely. Campaigns like these work very nicely, as they engage the audience when the action is happening. Feel free to touch base with us if you think this may be something you are interested in.

    Server Migration

We are on location at a client in northern Vermont, and are in the process of migrating their server from a failing server to a healthy server. Migrating Active Directory, Exchange, and user files can be tricky, but we have it under control.

    Air conditioning is your friend

With sensitive equipment there comes the need for air conditioning. Typically, a server room should be kept as close to 70 degrees as possible to avoid costly and potentially long term damage to your hardware. Failure to properly supply cool air to your heat generating devices will slowly but surely ends in the need to replace your hardware. Don't risk it, keep it cool. Think of the thousands of dollars you won't need to spend to fix what your air conditioner could have prevented.

    Windows 10

Microsoft has done a one up, and basically asked for your input on how to make Windows. They figured they couldn't figure it out on their own, so the users must be right and maybe it's time to start listening to the people actually using the software. With the bungle of Windows 8, and the not so fixed "fix" of Windows 8.1, Windows 9 won't even be needed.
